Credit ControllerLondon (3 days in the office)
Up to £45,000
A world leading global maritime company is currently looking for an experienced and hands-on Credit Controller to join its finance team in London. Working alongside the Senior Credit Controller, the successful candidate will play a pivotal role in managing credit control processes across multiple divisions within the business.
Duties include:
- Ensure timely and accurate cash allocation and reconciliation of accounts
- Investigate and resolve backlogs of old debt and unallocated cash
- Liaising with internal and external stakeholders to resolve issues relating to payments, invoicing and queries
- Monitor the accounts receivable ledger and generate reports on aging debts and collections progress
- Directly manage high-value or complex accounts and coordinate the collection efforts for aged debt
- Maintain up to date records of customer interactions, collections activity and payment arrangements
- Provide advice on the handling of overdue accounts and recommend appropriate actions for credit risk management
- Monitor aged debt and implement strategies for prompt payment
- Work with appropriate internal departments to align collection strategies, ensuring all stakeholders are engaged in the credit control process
- Issuing accurate and timely invoices to customers
Experience required:
- Proven hands-on B2B credit control experience, ideally within a large complex global organisation
- Excellent attention to detail is essential
- Detail oriented, ensuring accuracy in all aspects of credit control and reporting
- Highly proactive, self-motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervision
- Strong Excel skills (pivot tables/vlookups)
