Job Description
Billing ManagerLondon (3 days in the office)
£60,000 - £65,000 + 10% bonus
A leading global company based in London is currently looking for a dynamic and people-focused Billing Manager to join its AR team. Reporting into the Head of AR, you will be responsible for overseeing a team of 10 Billing Specialists, and take on responsibility for a high value global billing function. You will act as the primary point of escalation for client queries and billing issues, while also driving process improvements, compliance, and efficiency across the function.
Duties include:
- Lead, motivate, and develop the Billing team
- Produce KPI reports to measure performance of the Billing function and track continuous improvement
- Conduct annual reviews with team members and provide regular coaching
- Manage the end to end global billing process
- Work closely with Sales, Operations, Legal, and Finance to maintain accuracy, support customer satisfaction, and safeguard revenue integrity
- Investigate and report discrepancies between estimated and actual billing values
- Liaise with Legal on the interpretation of complex customer contracts and ensure billing accuracy
- Ensure compliance with internal policies, contractual obligations, and global tax reporting requirements
- Identify and implement opportunities to improve billing processes, systems, and controls
Skills/Experience required:
- Extensive experience in billing, invoicing, and AR management, ideally within a contract-driven or global service environment
- Proven people leadership experience, with the ability to motivate, coach, and develop a high-performing team
- Track record of process improvement and implementing system enhancements across billing
- Excellent stakeholder management skills
- Strong understanding of financial systems (ERP) and billing processes
- Positive 'can do' attitude
