Job Description
Credit Risk - Lead£90,000 - £105,000 +
London - Hybrid working
A newly created role due to commercial growth. This position is responsible for managing credit risk across various commodities, working closely with traders and the Finance and Risk team to ensure optimal risk management structuring.
Ownership and understanding of the credit risk profile of a commodities related credit portfolio
Formulation and evaluation of credit proposals, with a comprehensive risk assessment for new or increased facilities
Undertake quantitative and qualitative financial analysis to develop a comprehensive understanding of structural risks
Develop and implement credit risk models to assess potential losses across newly emerging areas including MEA and APAC
Collaborate with traders to identify and mitigate credit risks in trade transactions
Design and develop credit risk policies and procedures
Managing relationships with banks and traders
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, and /or 12 years+ experience in credit risk
Good understanding of accounting to analyse financial strengths and weaknesses of clients and identify potential risks to credit proposals
Ability to understand structured deals and provide guidance
Commercially minded
Able to lead a small team in a corporate but intimate environment
Experience within the Oil & Gas industry or Trade Finance would be beneficial
Ability to work in a growing business and make recommendations for development
