£35,000 - £40,000
My client is a growing commercial business, that are looking to recruit for a newly created position of Credit Manager. You will report to the Group Finance Director and be responsible for managing a team of 3 in credit control.
• Responsible for overseeing a growing ledger of 2000 accounts with a monthly ledger value of up to £4million
• Supervision of 3 credit controllers
• Setting and monitoring of KPI’s and targets
• Hands on management of a multicurrency export ledger
• Onboarding on new clients, credit & risk assessment, setting and monitoring limits
• Management of the credit insurance policy
• Manging relationships with credit insurers and other third parties
• Letters of credit
• Dealing with problematic accounts
• Overseeing cash allocation, statement runs, invoicing
• Managing any mis or unallocated cash and reconciling as required
• Making decisions on write offs and accounts referred for legal action
• Calculation of the bad debt provision
• Ensuring credit policies & procedures are kept up to date
• Monthly aged debt reporting & analysis
• Assisting with other duties as required
Requirements
• Living commuting distance from their Chelmsford office
• Experience of working as a Credit Control Supervisor / Credit Manager
• Multicurrency, letters of credit and credit insurance knowledge preferably
• Good systems skills
• Experience of process improvement
• Ability to work in a fast pace & lively environment
