Sales Ledger AdministratorCentral Birmingham (office based)
Up to £23,000 + excellent benefits (inc. 25 days annual leave increasing to 28, training & study support, pension, private medical, corporate gym membership)
A leading and rapidly expanding educational consultancy based in Birmingham is currently looking for a driven and motivated candidate to join its Income Team as a Sales Ledger Administrator. This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious candidate looking for a company that offers opportunities, growth and progression.
Reporting into the Credit Manager, your duties will include:
- End to end ownership of the student refunds process, from receipt of refund application through to payment proposal
- Ensuring positive student experience whilst maintaining compliance with internal and external policies and regulations (e.g. money laundering regulations)
- Liaising with various internal departments to validate student claims (recruitment, operations and admissions teams)
- Supporting the wider credit control team in communicating with students, bank reconciliations, ledger accounting and other data analysis
- Working within set SLAs
- Responsible for bank postings during busy periods to assist other team members
- Building strong working relationships both internally and externally
Skills & Experience Required:
- Understanding of a finance function within a business (ideally sales ledger/credit control - B2C and B2B)
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel
- Ability to work under pressure and to deadlines
- Methodical and accurate with a proven ability to focus on detail
- Proven high levels of communication
- Self motivated and driven
- Calm and composed approach, and maintaining positive approach in high stress environments
